I'm Carbonation Free 1 Month Today
Researchers at Tata Memorial Hospital in India found a strong correlation between the rise in per capita consumption of carbonated soft drinks in the past 20 years and the increasing rates of esophageal cancer in the United States. Consumption of carbonated soft drinks rose by more than 450 percent, from 10.8 gallons per per in 1946 to 49.2 gallons per year in 2000. At the same time, during the last 25 years, rates of esophageal cancer have increased more than 570 percent among American white males.

Cracking Some Eggs
Saturday night was our cameo shoot for our resident effects man Todd “Dr. Savini” Britt. The plan was to really set off his cameo with one of the bloodiest death scenes in the film. That much we definitely accomplished. Todd showed up with a solid idea of how he wanted the death scene setup. Unfortunately, it sounded dangerous. In fact, I immediately suggested revisions to the plan to make it safer. Todd felt sure he could pull it off safely and in fact the first take went off without a hitch. The second take however, cost Todd a sizable chunk of his left incisor. In fact as he leans over from the blow and reaches to grab his mouth the camera actually captures the chip of tooth falling out of his mouth and to the ground.
To Todd's eternal credit he manned up and went on with the shoot. We got the footage we needed and the shoot was saved. However, it's a real drag to see anyone actually get hurt on the set. Now there have been plenty of bruises during the making of C For Chaos, yours truly has had his fair share. Of course I had to feature Todd in the resulting MVP Videocast. This one hasn't been officially released to the public but you can get an early peek here.

Brento Cast #7 Is Launched
Brentocast #7 was recorded remotely as I drove north on Intersate 85 from Salisbury to about Winston Salem. I mentioned topics such as C For Chaos drawing to a close and cover the Halloween party massacre shoot from October 14th.
