Our view looks at the table where a bottle of pills is scattered over a newspaper. The image is blurry, but the headline appears to read, The Dead Walk. The small print is indistinguishable. The Voice Ahhhhhhh. The voice seems in pain as if in the grips of a severe headache. The Voice (CONT'D) Owwww. Oh my freaking head hurts. A pale hand reaches down to bring the bottles label up closer to inspect. The label comes into view. The image clears up and we can read the whisky bottle label. The Voice (CONT'D) Im so hungry! The bottle drops to the floor. The view spins around and looks towards the kitchen. We can tell the owner of these eyes is kind of out of it as each step is staggered. He heads to the kitchen. Pale hands reach out to steady the owner of the voice on the counter. A hand claws at and eventually pulls open the fridge door. Inside we see the typical mixture of food and beverages. The hands reach in and snag various items, bringing them close to the view so as to smell. At first items are haphazardly put back but eventually the process becomes from desperate some how with unwanted items being drop carelessly to the store. The Voice (CONT'D) Ahhh, so hungry. I need something. Meat, something with meat. The hands find the crisper, pulling it completely out of the housing and dropping the contents to the floor. The view looks down and sees half a pack of lunch meat. The view scrambles to the floor and hands tear at the opened package of ham lunch meat. The contents of the package are shoved below camera view and supposedly chewed then unceremoniously spewed back onto the floor. 0002000006140000074D60E,The Voice (CONT'D) No. No good. I need meat! I need some real meat! The view staggers back to its feet and stumbles towards the living room. On the way it meets some obstacle, perhaps a coffee table or ottoman and falls completely to the ground. Pale hands push off of the floor and the view once again begins to right itself. As it does it looks up to a wide screen television about eye level when the view is half downed. A tired looking news anchor delivers his doomsday message. Newscaster To anyone out there still getting this feed, I regret to say that WKPT is now going off the air. Our studio location is no longer safe. We are being overrun by these, these infected people or creatures, whatever they are. The slick graphics package behind the newscaster flickers and disappears revealing a green curtain. A few stage hands scurry back and forth across the stage. Producer (From off screen on the TV) Bill we have to go. Now damn it! Now! Newscaster To anyone still alive, your best chance is to lock yourselves in somewhere and avoid all contact with these infected individuals. They are not your loved ones or neighbors, they are not your friends...Oh, Oh my God! No! No! The voice breaks out of the momentary trance of the tv and turns away disinterested. From out of view we hear the last screams of Bill the newscaster as he is presumably attacked. The Voice Oh my God. I need food. How can I be so hungry. A car is burning in the ditch by the end of the cul-de-sac. People are running back and forth in hysteria. In the distance and slightly out of focus we see a man shape stumbling across the lawn. Two other man shapes run up to it and knock it down and apparently shoot it with rifles. It flops about on the ground wildly. Others approach with garden implements and seem to chop on the downed figure. The view turns toward a women who is standing and screaming. We stumble towards this person. Women Wheres my baby. Someones took my little girl. Where is she. The women appears to see some glimpse of her daughter and darts out of view to pursue her. Women (CONT'D) Sandra! Honey, baby, mommys coming. Our view turns slowly to see her dart around the corner of a house. We stumble after her. A man runs toward us holding a TV. At the last minute he side steps us and runs out of view. Our view is zeroed in on the trail of the women. We seem not to notice the man. The Voice Hey. Hey, I need meat. Give me meat. Off screen, tires screech, shots are fired and people yell and scream. We hear a man shout. Tim Hey Ray, over here. I found another one. The view turns the corner of the house to see an enclosed bricked in yard with a metal gate at the far side. The women is just negotiating the gate and it slams closed behind her. The voice Help me. Im so damn hungry. The view makes a bee line for the gate, stumbling and staggering each step of the way. The gate draws closer and closer. We arrive at the gate but cannot seem to open it. Pale hands grasp the cold black metal bars. The grasp seems desperate to open the gate but it doesnt budge. Mid shot View of the voice owner (We see that hes a freshly turned zombie.) The owner of the voice slowly turns around with a confused look on its face. We hear the muddle groans of a zombie. Lets welcome him to our little party. Tim Most definitely. Watch this. Tim takes a run at the slowly advancing zombie. Mid shot profile Tim runs in and swings at the zombie with the axe. The axe catches the owner of the voice in the right forearm completely cleaving it from the body. Long Two shot The voice Aaarrghhh! The zombie seems barely dazed and claws out with the other hand, narrowly missing Tims throat. Tim Woah that sumbitch almost got me. Ray Damn Tim. Dont get so close. Get your ass back here. This one is too lively. We need to slow him down a little. Long shot over the shoulder Tim scurries back to his position beside Ray. The zombie still staggers towards them. Tight shot Profile Tim Draws his revolver. Tight shot front on Ray draws his gun from his waist band. Tight shot The zombies right knee sprouts a blood flower as a bullet tears through it. Long shot on the whole scene in profile The zombie is hit in the other knee and this time falls to both knees. Hes still intent on reaching the two men. His crawling is hampered by only having one arm so he continually falls to his face and struggles back to his crawl position. Tight shot of the zombies face front on The zombies face is covered in blood and has a few blades of grass sticking to it. It seems to try and speak. But we only hear a half moan/groan come out of its black slime filled mouth. Long Shot Top down The zombie is nearly flattened out. Tim runs in with the axe and begins his work dismantling the crawling dead man. He chops his victim mostly on the back. Mid shot on Tim from the waist up. He hacks and blood splatters him in the face over and over. Tim Wooooh. How ya like that son?!!! Another hack or two. Tim (CONT'D) Ya want some more? Two shot from behind the downed zombie, showing tim and Ray Tim continues to hack at the zombie whos barely on the bottom of the screen. His face and shirt are well bloodied. A boot kicks him over so hes looking up at the sky still groaning. The Voice Argghhhh. Full shot of the metal gates. Smoke from the burning car blows by on the other side of the gate. Slow motion Worms eye view of the Zombies face looking up at the two men in anguish. His mouth twisted in a groan. Behind him we see two black boots and the lower part of a priests robes walk into view and turn to face the gate from the other side A figure in long black priests robes stands behind the gate. Hes in classical attire except for the sun glasses, black motorcycle jacket & boots and miscellaneous weapons that are strapped across his back. A Golden Rosary hangs from his neck. He unlocks the gate and steps through. Tim Holy shit, Father Michael. (Tim looks confused and slightly afraid of the large man in black.) Father Michael raises an eyebrow even visible from behind his dark glasses. Ray Take it easy Father Mike. We were just having a little fun.
