Shawn Conrad 1st Pro MMA Fight

Relson Gracie purple belt Shawn Conrad has his first pro Mixed Martial Arts fight in Atlanta, Georgia. He will be fighting in the organization called "The Fight Party" on September 28th, 2007. His opponent is Darren Wood who trains at Knuckle Up Gym in Atlanta, GA. Wood's MMA record is 1 win and 2 defeats. Woods is a big muscualr guy and this will be a good challenge for Shawn. Knuckle up is known for their good MMA fighters. Shawn has been training 5 to 6 days a week for the past 5 weeks in order to get ready for the fight. Results from the fight will be posted here after the 28th. Also on the same care is Relson Gracie South Carolina purple belt Joe Waldrop. If you all can travel to Atlanta for the fight on the 28th, please do so in order to support Relson Gracie Team.

Nissan Osterneck Wins 4th MMA Match

Hello everyone I just got news form Relson Gracie SC associaltion head Jay Dennis that our own Nissen Osterneck fought in the fourth edition of Cassino Fight Club MMA on September 15th at the Amadeu Teixeira Arena in Amazonas, Brazil. The card was stacked with great fights involving fighters from the four corners of Brazil.The main event had Relson Gracie South Carolina team member Nissen Osterneck put a beatdown on Kimura/Unova Uniao member Jorge Rodrigues (Brazil).

In round one Nissen got top position on the ground and landed a lot of hard shots while Rodrigues was trying for a kneebar. In round two Nissen landed more strikes fron the top position and eventually caught Jorge Rodrigues in a rear-naked choke. Congrats to Nissen for the win in Brazil. Phillip Kirby Promoted to Brown Belt

Phillip Kirby was awarded his brown belt from master Relson Gracie in Myrtle
Beach, South Carolina on Feb. 15, 2007. Master Relson taught a self
defense seminar in Myrtle Beach. At the end of the training he awarded Phil
his brown belt. Phil has been training with Relson for aproximately 10 years and
has run a Relson Gracie Association school for 7 years. Congratulations to
Phil.

The 2nd oldest son of Helio Gracie, Relson Gracie moved to Hawaii in 1988. He began learning jiu-jitsu at 2 and entered his first competition at the tender age of 10! He was the Brazilian National Champion for 22 years straight.
