               EXTERIOR: ON THE STREET BY A BEAUTIFUL GOTHIC CATHEDRAL

               A man sits in his vehicle. The church is reflected on the
               passenger side window.



               DOLLY: 

               The camera does a slow dolly seemingly passing through the
               passenger side window. Inside we see that the man has a hose
               pipe coming in the driver side window. Apparently, he's about
               to commit suicide.



               CU.

               The mans hand is on the keys about to turn the ignition.

               CU.

               On the center of the car seat we see a bottle of scotch.
               Beside it is a Holy Bible with rosary beads draped across it.

               CU.
                             (Through the front car
                              window.)

               We see the mans face is twisted in pain.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL
                             (He's sobbing lightly)
                         It can't be all for this, for
                         nothing. Oh merciful Father, call
                         back this arrow of our destruction.



               TIGHT SHOT OF HAND ON THE KEYS

               The hand slowly begins to turn the ignition....then pauses
               and eventually releases the keys and drops out of the shot



               TIGHT SHOT OF CAR SEAT WITH A BIBLE DRAPED IN A ROSARY AND A
               WHISKY BOTTLE

               A hand comes into view and hovers over the whisky bottle
               momentarily before snatching up the bible and the rosary and
               pulling them off screen.



               MID SHOT THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW

               We see the back of the man in black exiting the car.



               INTERIOR LUXURIOUS HOME

               Our view is through a half drank glass of scotch which has
               melted down to a watery third of a glass of contents sitting
               on a coffee table by an answering machine. Through the
               distortion we see a large TV with some sort of newscast on it
               which we barely hear in the background

               From off screen we hear the beep of an answering machine.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL
                         Todd this is father Michael. Rose
                         finally reached me with your
                         message. She said that you felt you
                         may be coming down with this bug.
                         I'm very sorry it's taken me this
                         long to get back to you. As you can
                         imagine we have a lot of ill
                         parishioners and I've had a full
                         plate for the last few days. I hope
                         you're up and about. I'm heading
                         out your way and wanted to let you
                         know that I'd be stopping by. God
                         bless.



               THE SAME SHOT PANS TO REVEAL THE BACK OF A MANS HEAD WHO IS
               APPARENTLY WATCHING THE TV

               The camera slowly tracks in toward the side and slightly
               favoring the left side of the chair as if it's going to swing
               around to see his face.

               As the camera tracks in the image on the TV becomes clearer.

                                   NEWS WOMEN
                         I regret to inform you that WKPT
                         news is going off the air. I'm
                         being told that our location is no
                         longer secure. Rest assured that as
                         soon as the National guard has
                         restore some level of order we will
                         be back with you.

               The woman looks like she is about to throw up. She winces and
               rubs her eyes as if she is suffering from sleep depravation.
                         Folks these people are no longer
                         your friends and loved ones.
                         They cannot be reasoned with or
                         controlled in any way. If they byte
                         you or scratch you, you will
                         likewise become infected. Your best
                         chance of surviving this outbreak
                         is to physically separate yourself
                         from the infected. 
                             (From off screen)

                                   NEWSROOM VOICE #1

               Leeah we have to go now. It's not safe

                                   NEWSROOM VOICE #2
                         Oh my God! Oh Shit! Oh Shit they
                         are inside. Ahhhhhh!!!!

                                   NEWS WOMEN
                         Oh my God!

               Suddenly a fast moving shape streaks in from stage right and
               knocks her off screen. We hear tearing sounds and ripping
               flesh. The women screams wildly but only for a few seconds.



               IN FATHER MICHAELS DRESSING ROOM, PRESUMABLY WITHIN HIS
               CHURCH

               We see the outline of a tall man, half shrouded in darkness
               standing before a mirror. We can see that he is dawning the
               vestments of his position. He appears to be wearing some sort
               of black robe and is carefully hanging a golden silk sash
               around his neck.



               INTERIOR LUXURIOUS HOME



               THE CAMERA PAUSES ON THE TV MOMENTARILY. THERE'S NOT LONGER A
               NICE COMPOSITION OF A NEWS DESK OR ANYTHING OF NOTE. THE
               FLOOR AND LEGS OF A SHATTERED CHAIR FILL THE SCREEN.
               APPARENTLY SOMETHING HAS KNOCKED OVER THE CAMERA. THERE ARE
               BLOOD SPLATTER STAINS ON THE LENS AND THE LENS ITSELF WORKS
               IN AND OUT OF FOCUS.



               THE CAMERA DOLLIES AND PANS AROUND TO SEE TODD, THE HOUSES
               SOLE OCCUPANT, HIS HEAD SLACK AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CHAIR.
               HE IS OBVIOUSLY DEAD AND APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SO FOR MORE
               THAN A DAY.

                                   TODD
                         Sssshaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

               His eyes pop open with a massive intake of air. But something
               in his eyes is all wrong. His face is blue with wildly
               scattered veins showing through as if his flesh has become
               paper thing. He immediately leaps off the screen.



               EXT. A BRIGHT DAY



               LONG SHOT

               The camera is focused on the entrance of the luxurious home.
               There are a few steps in front and two large glass paned
               doors.

               Suddenly an infected man bursts forth from the doors in a
               rage. He's wearing a dirty long sleeve button down shirt with
               the stains of having coughed up copious amounts of blood and
               black bile evident. He's in such a hurry to get to the
               outside that he completely misses the steps that need to be
               negotiated and instead tumbles head first down them landing
               hard in a heap at the bottom of the steps.



               LONG SHOT OF THE YARD AND CUL-DE-SAC.

               A car has ended up in the edge of the yard and has been
               abandoned. The doors on both sides stand open. Suddenly a red
               pickup drifts down the street and slams into the side
               farthest from our view. A fireball erupts between the two
               vehicles.

               From our right a man, apparently infected stumbles across the
               lawn. From our left a duo of men approach the at a jog. The
               first man, who's carrying a shotgun reaches out Pat Smith
               style and front kick/stomps the infected man in the chest
               knocking him to the ground. He brings the gun to bear and
               blasts the infected man in the head killing him.

               Suddenly a female zombie approaches from behind the men
               nearly making it to the second man before he notices.

               Todd pops up into our view occupying much of the right side
               of the screen.

               He seems only slightly dazed as he begins to focus on the
               action playing out across the lawn. He begins to walk then
               runs toward the men.

               Meanwhile man #2 notices the zombie approaching from his rear
               and turns to face her. He's armed with a sledge hammer and
               makes judicious use of it on the women's head.

               Todd is halfway to the men when he stops in his tracks and
               snaps his attention to something off screen on our left.

                                   WOMEN
                         Where's my baby. Someone's took my
                         little girl. Where is she.

               The women appears to see some glimpse of her daughter and
               darts out of view to pursue her.

                                   WOMEN (CONT'D)
                         Sandra! Honey, baby, mommy's
                         coming.

               Our view turns slowly to see her dart around the corner of a
               house. We stumble after her. A man runs toward us holding a
               TV. At the last minute he side steps us and runs out of view.
               Our view is zeroed in on the trail of the women. We seem not
               to notice the man.

                                   TODD
                         Rahhhh arhhhhh!!!

               Off screen, tires screech, shots are fired and people yell
               and scream. We hear a man shout.

                                   TIM
                         Hey Ray, over here. I found another
                         one.

               The view turns the corner of the house to see an enclosed
               bricked in yard with a metal gate at the far side. The women
               is just negotiating the gate and it slams closed behind her.

               The view makes a bee line for the gate, stumbling and
               staggering each step of the way. The gate draws closer and
               closer. We arrive at the gate but cannot seem to open it.
               Pale hands grasp the cold black metal bars. The grasp seems
               desperate to open the gate but it doesn't budge. 

                                   TIM (CONT'D)
                             (calling from somewhere
                              behind us)
                         Hey there handsome. Where do you
                         think you're going?



               MID SHOT VIEW OF TODD 

               TODD slowly turns around with a confused look on his face. We
               hear the muddle groans of a zombie.

                                   TODD
                         Raahhhhh, arghhh ahhhh arggggh!



               LONG SHOT PROFILE

               The zombie staggers toward Tim who seems perfectly amused.



               TWO SHOT OF TIM AND HIS PARTNER ARRIVING AROUND THE CORNER.

                                   TIM
                         Oh yeah Handsome. We've got
                         something for you. 

               Tim is carrying an axe and wearing an old western style gun
               holster with a 45.

                                   RAY
                         Yeeeehaw!!! Another piggie for the
                         slaughter. Good eye boy. Let's
                         welcome him to our little party.

                                   TIM
                         Most definitely. Watch this.

               Tim takes a run at the slowly advancing zombie.



               MID SHOT PROFILE

               Tim runs in and swings at the zombie with the axe. The axe
               catches  TODD in the right forearm completely cleaving it
               from the body.



               LONG TWO SHOT

                                   TODD
                         Aaarrghhh!

               The zombie seems barely dazed and claws out with the other
               hand, narrowly missing Tim's throat.

                                   TIM
                         Whoa that sumbitch almost got me.

                                   RAY
                         Damn Tim. Don't get so close. Get
                         your ass back here. This one is too
                         lively. We need to slow him down a
                         little.



               LONG SHOT OVER THE SHOULDER

               Tim scurries back to his position beside Ray. 

               The zombie still staggers towards them.



               TIGHT SHOT PROFILE

               Tim Draws his revolver.



               TIGHT SHOT FRONT ON

               Ray draws his gun from his waist band.



               TIGHT SHOT

               The zombie's right knee sprouts a blood flower as a bullet
               tears through it. A second bullet hits it in the upper thigh.



               MID SHOT FRONT ON

               Tim and Ray are aiming and firing their pistols.



               FULL SHOT FRONT ON

               The zombie staggers but keeps on coming seemingly
               uninterested in the damage it's taking.



               TIGHT SHOT ON RAY'S FACE

                                   RAY (CONT'D)
                         Let's see if we can't slow you down
                         Big Boy.

               Mid Shot Profile on Ray

               Ray extends his gun arm and aims at the zombies other knee.
               He fires.



               LONG SHOT ON THE WHOLE SCENE IN PROFILE

               The zombie is hit in the other knee and this time falls to
               both knees. He's still intent on reaching the two men. His
               crawling is hampered by only having one arm so he continually
               falls to his face and struggles back to his crawl position.



               TIGHT SHOT OF THE ZOMBIES FACE FRONT ON

               The zombie's face is covered in blood and has a few blades of
               grass sticking to it. It seems to try and speak. But we only
               hear a half moan/groan come out of it's black slime filled
               mouth.



               LONG SHOT TOP DOWN

               The zombie is nearly flattened out. Tim runs in with the axe
               and begins his work dismantling the crawling dead man. He
               chops his victim mostly on the back.



               MID SHOT ON TIM FROM THE WAIST UP. 

               He hacks and blood splatters him in the face over and over.

                                   TIM
                         Wooooo How ya like that son?!!!

               Another hack or two.

                                   TIM (CONT'D)
                         Ya want some more? By God, I'll
                         give you another helping



               MID SHOT ON RAY

                                   RAY 
                         Ah you got him good son. Let him
                         have some more! Ahhh Haaa Ha haaa.

               Ray finds the whole affair terribly entertaining.



               TWO SHOT FROM BEHIND THE DOWNED ZOMBIE, SHOWING TIM AND RAY

               Tim continues to hack at the zombie who's barely on the
               bottom of the screen. His face and shirt are well bloodied.

                                   TIM
                         We don't need no shit eating
                         zombies around here, Boy. You done
                         come to the wrong party! 

               He speaks almost out of breath amidst axe blows.



               MID SHOT ON THE ZOMBIES TORSO.

               A boot kicks him over so he's looking up at the sky still
               groaning.

                                   TODD
                         Argghhhh.



               FULL SHOT OF THE METAL GATES.

               Smoke from the burning car blows by on the other side of the
               gate.



               SLOW MOTION WORMS EYE VIEW OF THE ZOMBIE'S FACE LOOKING UP AT
               THE TWO MEN IN ANGUISH. 

               His mouth twisted in a groan. Behind him we see two black
               boots and the lower part of a priests robes walk into view
               and turn to face the gate from the other side

               A figure in long black priests robes stands behind the gate.
               He's in classical attire except for the sun glasses, black
               motorcycle jacket & boots and miscellaneous weapons that are
               strapped across his back. A Golden Rosary hangs from his
               neck.

               He unlocks the gate and steps through.

                                   TIM
                         Holy shit, FATHER MICHAEL.
                             (Tim looks confused and
                              slightly afraid of the
                              large man in black.)

               FATHER MICHAEL raises an eyebrow even visible from behind his
               dark glasses.

                                   RAY
                         Take it easy Father Mike. We were
                         just having a little fun.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL
                         Friends, this pitiful soul deserves
                         our compassion, not our scorn.

               The priest puts a heavy black boot out and pins down the
               zombies flailing arm.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL (CONT'D)
                         May the most holy, most sacred,
                         most adorable, most mysterious and
                         unutterable Name of God be always
                         praised, blessed, loved, adored and
                         glorified, in heaven, on earth and
                         under the earth, by all the
                         creatures of God

               He unslings a crossbow hidden under his left arm. As he draws
               the bolt and takes aim he continues his scriptures.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL (CONT'D)
                         This Golden Arrow will wound my
                         heart and heal the wounds inflicted
                         by blasphemy.

               FATHER MICHAEL pins the zombie's head to the ground with a
               cross bolt. It ceases it's struggle. He looks up at Tim
               suspiciously. He drops the crossbow to his side and
               unsheathes a vicious looking machete. As he steps toward Tim
               with intent we see something.



               CU TIM'S ARM

               Tim's arm has a deep scratch in it, presumably left by the
               struggling todd. He notices it and tries to cover the wound.



               TIM
                         Now hold on Father Mike, I did that
                         on the fence railing chasing down
                         this bastard here.

               He motions to the lifeless, mutilated zombie.

               The priest never breaks stride but instead brings the machete
               down in a arcing blow across Tim's head.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL (CONT'D)
                         Peace be unto you, Brother!

               Mid Shot

               Tim, seemingly shocked by this turn of events and the black
               stuck in his forehead sinks to the ground with his mouth
               agape and eyes wide as blood streams from the wound.

               Ray and father Mike walk over to the dead Tim.



               GROUND UP SHOT OF FATHER MIKE AND RAY LOOKING DOWN.

                                   RAY
                         Damn son. You're dead.

                                   FATHER MICHAEL 
                         Peace be unto you, Brother!



               SCREEN SLAMS TO BLACK



               CREDITS ROLE
